Being part of the Connect Reading network gives you an opportunity to build relationships across organisations. These cross-sector connections can create social value and build a better Reading for everyone.
Connect Reading worked to gather 31 charities for a Volunteering Fayre, kindly hosted by PepsiCo at their headquarters.
This collection of connections involved Molli from the University of Reading linking Clear Sky Studios’ Chris Mitchell with another one of our members – Reading MENCAP.
We had the opportunity to link 3 of our members to ensure that students could access a workshop about the cost of living crisis, and potential available support.
Chris Mitchell from Clear Sky Studios (and Music Box Productions), attended a Connect Reading networking event, sharing his vision for a festival to showcase Reading’s diverse range of cultures, sounds and tastes. Lorraine introduced him to Molli Cleaver from the University of Reading (UoR).
