Viva Photography

Caroline Gratrix, owner of Viva Photography, brings so much positivty and such a love of Reading to our Connect Reading Community!

Viva Photography has been running for nearly 20 years. Over that time I covered lots of genres of photography from weddings, products, families and studio work. These days I focus predominantly on business and social media headshots. I really enjoy the one to one interaction, person to person.

Why did you join Connect Reading?

I have loved Connect Reading since it first started. I have an inherent need to want to put people and skills together, so its the perfect organisation to be aligned to!

What are you doing to build a better Reading?

I am very positive about Reading and always have been. I support organisations that support the betterment of my town. I volunteer for Ethical Reading and I am part of the Reading Business Network with is a network to support all Reading businesses to thrive. I use local businesses myself and review and promote them to others.

What has been the biggest thing you’ve learned as an organisation?

Being part of your local community is enormously beneficial for both business life and personal life. A few years back, I wanted to be more involved and to be part of the change I wanted to see in my town so I volunteered for Reading Fringe. I met incredible people and it opened so many doors and opportunities. I didn’t do it for personal gain, that was an added bonus!

What are you most looking forward to in the year ahead?

Reading is a wealth of culture, diversity and opportunity, I am excited to get out to more real life events celebrating all of that and to see Reading businesses flourishing once more.

How can people connect with you and support what you’re doing?
