Reading School is a selective state day and boarding academy for boys aged 11-18 which has been educating young men since 1125. Our vision is that by 2025, we will be a flourishing world-leading institution developing academic excellence and continuing to build good men. Their school enriches the intellectual, sporting, artistic and cultural life of their students for the benefit of society. They also provide an exceptional environment where a lifelong love of learning is strengthened by the values of excellence, integrity, leadership, and community.

Reading School
What we do
We are a state funded grammar school for boys with a 900 year history in Reading so are very much part of the fabric and heritage of Reading.
Reading School is The Sunday Times Southeast State Secondary School of the Year along with having recently been awarded the internationally recognised Association for Character Education’s Kitemark Plus award where the school was noted for its, “…exemplary and inspirational commitment to values-led character education for all”
Why we became a member
To support the school’s explicit efforts to become more outward facing within the local community and to build new partnerships.
Who we would like to connect with
As we aim to continue to develop and improve the school’s ability to provide a world-class education for all, we are seeking to create and build new partnerships with organisations that align with our values of excellence, belonging and community.
On a side-note, we can provide a unique venue for hire that includes wedding facilities (a chapel).
