PACT (Parents And Children Together)

Sector: Non-profit

PACT – Parents And Children Together – is an adoption charity and family support provider helping hundreds of families every year through outstanding adoption and adoption support services and community projects across London and the south east of England.

Established in 1911, PACT is now one of the UK’s leading charities in its field and is dedicated to the placement of children with secure and loving families, continued support through therapeutic services, supporting and empowering women facing multiple disadvantages and the recovery of children affected by domestic abuse.

What we do

As a Community Fundraiser I spend my time working within our community in Reading and the Thames Valley. I visit groups and organisations to talk about the work we do at PACT and also support anyone who would like to fundraise for us. I can also be found manning stalls at events, selling our Painting With Purpose art prints and Alana House Recipe Books. It is a busy and varied role which I love.

Why we became a member

We joined Connect Reading both to spread the word about the community projects we run and also to connect with organisations and businesses who would be interested in supporting our life-changing work.

Who we would like to connect with

We would love to connect with people who would like to know more about, and support, the work we do.

Connect Reading have been a great help since we joined with support ranging from The Giving Tree to helping us connect with local businesses who have held fundraising events for us.
