Berkshire Youth

Sector: Non-profit

Berkshire Youth has been working with Berkshire’s young people for almost 85 years, supporting them as they make the transition from childhood to adulthood. In increasingly challenging times we act as their champion, and work with more than 12,000 young people each year through a range of projects and activities designed to further their development and education. Many of the young people are vulnerable, disadvantaged or face barriers to access.

What we do

Berkshire Youth provides a range of youth services through its qualified youth workers, including: detached work, school mentoring, youth clubs, support, training and education. Berkshire Youth’s projects include: sports, fitness, leadership and first aid.

Why we became a member

To link up with local businesses and employees – spreading news of our work and hopefully engaging them in it

Who we would like to connect with

Businesses looking to link up with / support local charities through fundraising and volunteering

We had a brilliant experience of The Giving Tree in 2022 - we loved being linked up with Thames Water to provide Christmas presents for young people at youth clubs around the Reading area. The young people were really grateful for the presents and to know that others were thinking about them!
