Alliance for Cohesion And Racial Equality (ACRE) was set up in October 2012 to promote community cohesion and inclusion through community engagement, empowerment and social development in the Greater Reading area.
They are an organisation that gets involved in our communities. With the support of our volunteers who come from all walks of life, ACRE bring people together to facilitate understanding and harmony. ACRE believes that an increased sense of community will lead to more personal involvement and more cultural, educational and social activities, which will make Greater Reading a better community and a better place for us to live.
Alafia is the Acre Family Support Team. The team support families caring for a child or young person between the age of 0-25, from black and minority ethnic backgrounds.
