ABC to read (Assisting Berkshire Children to read) help to transform the lives of children who are struggling to read at primary schools across Berkshire. Their volunteer reading mentors work one-to-one with children, to build their confidence and reading skills.
We offer volunteering opportunities within a well managed, award winning and long standing charity who help hundreds of children each week struggling to read, providing direct help or raising awareness of an issue in our area.
We joined when Connect Reading first became established to help us “connect” to local businesses. To help us as a charity to find in kind support and give local employees volunteering opportunities as well as raise our own profile in our own community.
