We recently waved goodbye to Jed, our CRM and Data Co-ordinator. Jed has been a real asset to the team for the last year and we wish him all the best for his new role at Oxford University Press! We asked Jed some questions to see what he’s going to move onto next…

What was your role at Connect Reading?

I started as Events and Comms Coordinator and became Data CRM and Analytics Coordinator.

Can you tell us what you enjoyed most about your role?

I most enjoyed the variety of the role, connecting with so many organisations in Reading lead to learning a lot about my local area.

What is one thing you’ve learnt since being part of the Connect Reading team?

I’ve learnt so many skills at Connect Reading since I joined, I think the biggest thing though would be CRM’s and database management. Data capturing is so important for charities!

Have you got a funny story of something that happened at Connect Reading?

Probably watching the flip chart easel topple over whilst Lorraine was midway through our connection notes at our February networking (sorry Lorraine)

What is one thing you love about Reading?

How many great services and places there are that I wouldn’t have found out about I hadn’t worked for Connect Reading, as well as how on top Reading are when it comes to reaching net-zero targets.

What’s next for Jed?

I hope to continue to support locally, and with my new role at Oxford University Press, it’s great opportunity to pursue my passion for music. I can’t thank Connect Reading enough for the invaluable skills I gained and also the brilliant community that comes along with it.

If you haven’t already, you can connect with Jed on LinkedIn to see him flourish at Oxford University Press. Thank you again Jed, you’ve been a real asset to the Connect Reading Team and you will be missed, but we wish you the best of luck in your new role!
